Valerie Labi | Chief Executive Officer

Valerie holds an MSt. In Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge, UK and a first degree in Economics.  She previously served as CEO of Clean Team Toilets, 2013 winners of the Dame Lesley Strathie Award for Operational Excellence at the UK Civil Service Awards.  She excels when driving business transformation and providing leadership, skills she acquired whilst working for global business leaders EY & Vodafone respectively.  Valerie is determined to empower households and improve living conditions in Africa by driving the ‘democratisation of toilets’ and the ’commercialization of waste’ across the continent.   Valerie was further honored by President Obama when she was awarded the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders in 2014.


Engr. Ebenezer John Atsugah | Chief Operating Officer

Ebenezer holds an MSc in Engineering and Management from Coventry University, UK and is currently pursuing his MSc in Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation. He is a corporate member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana. Over the last 12 years he has acquired significant professional experience ranging from project management, business operations, prototyping and engineering designs. Critical appointments previously held include Project Manager for the international NGO, Water and Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP). Ebenezer is inspired and motivated by teamwork and is known for his ability to develop and build effective teams from scratch and establish meaningful partnerships with local entrepreneurs. 


Alicia May | Chief Strategy Officer

Alicia holds a BA in Public Policy from the University of Chicago where she was a Presidential Scholar, graduating with honours. She started her career in corporate strategy at Nasdaq Private Markets, a subsidiary of the second-largest stock exchange in the world, and had the opportunity to help develop and launch their flagship product.  Prior to joining the team, Alicia was Innovations Manager for iDE Cambodia, the largest sanitation marketing programme in the world boasting sales in excess of 250,00 toilets.  Alicia believes in the power of markets as a medium for driving positive social change.  She possesses an exceptional capability for analysing multiple factors, identifying correlations and innovating contextualised solutions.


Edward Anim | Chief Finance Officer

Edward holds a BSc in Accounting from the Ghana Baptist University College and is a Part Qualified Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana.  He has extensive experience in corporate finance, audit and social enterprise governance.  Prior to joining the team, he held the position of the board and company secretary for Clean Team Toilets in addition to being Head of Finance.  Eddy is a pioneer of financial innovations using CRM systems Mobile Money Platforms and Accounting Systems to drive efficient collections, cash management and revolving funds.


Isaac Esuantse | Chief Sales Officer

Isaac holds an MBa in Finance from the University of Cape Coast and the first degree in Economics and Psychology.  He has hands-on experience in business development sales and marketing, portfolio management and leading large direct sales teams across all regions in Ghana.  He previously was a Branch Manager for Dream Finance, focusing on selling financial services to rural underserved communities, pioneering the design and roll out of key microfinance propositions aimed at driving financial inclusion.  Isaac is a strong people coach with an activator as a core strength, driving momentum in the team, turning thoughts into action.
